The Zmodo doorbell uses a color system to communicate.

You can check the camera status by looking at the red, blue, and green LEDS.

They not only change colors, but they also blink in different ways to let you know that something is not working, and that's the case for the green blinking LED.

The Zmodo doorbell blinking green LED indicates that the device is ready for setup. It does not record footage or send notifications in this state, so you need to follow a setup process to get it up and running.

Here are the steps to set up your Zmodo Doorbell:

  • Solid green – The doorbell is powering up.
  • Solid blue – The doorbell is connected to the Internet.
  • Solid red – The doorbell is powered, but it's not connected to the Internet.

  • Blinking blue – Connecting to the Internet.
