You may have your device installed and ready to connect it to the Alarm.com account, which allows you to monitor your home using your smartphone.

This process works for the first installation or if you reset the Skybell doorbell camera to the factory default settings.

How to add the Skybell Doorbell camera to Alarm.com

Here's the step-by-step to add the device to your account.

Open the Alarm.com App on your smartphone;

Click on the "hamburguer" menu on the left side;

Click on "Doorbell Camera";

Click the + sign to add a camera;

Hit "begin" and follow the steps;

Give your camera a name;

Connect to the Doorbell temporary Wi-Fi network *

Click "Next" and select the Wi-Fi network to connect;

Enter the password to connect to your Wi-Fi network;

Wait for the process to complete.

Select DoorBell camera

Click the + sign

Select your device

Follow the next steps

Select the doorbell

Wait for the process to complete

It's done.

The App wizard asks if the doorbell LED is flashing red/green during the setup process, so make sure the device is in such a state before proceeding.

You may see the doorbell light flashing orange, blue/green, and finally changing to solid green to indicate that the device was added successfully.

* For iOS users, it's necessary to leave the App and go to the smartphone Wi-Fi setting to choose the SkybellHD_########## network. This is a temporary network connection for the setup.

* For Android users: The App detects the SkybellHD Wi-Fi network, so you don't need to leave the App. Just proceed with the setup.

By the end of the setup, you can enable push notification so the doorbell can alert you via message when somebody presses the device push button.

And that's all.

Now you can enjoy the doorbell via Alarm.com.

How do to reset the SkyBell doorbell

In this article, I explain how to reset the SkyBell doorbell camera.

The reset is very useful when you need to change the camera's Wi-Fi connection or if the camera is not working or not connected to the alarm system.

I will show you how to execute a hard reset, which means you need to interact with the camera and physically reset it using a button.

Let's get started.

Remove the Skybell camera from the account

Before resetting the camera is necessary to remove it from your account.

You can use a computer to visit the Alarm.com website.

Here are the steps to delete the Skybell from the account.

Open a web browser and go to Alarm.com;

At the top right side, click the "Login" button;

Enter your credentials to log into your account;

Click "video" on the left side of the screen;

Click on the "Settings" tab on the right side of the screen;

Select the camera you want to delete in the dropdown menu;

Click on "Video Device Info";

At the bottom of the screen click "Delete this video device";

Click "OK" to confirm you want to delete the device.

Log into your Alarm.com Account.

Click on Settings >> Video >> Video Device Info.

Click "Delete this video device"

A screen pops up to confirm you want to delete the device.

And the first part is done.

Now you are ready to go to the next step and physically reset the doorbell.

How to reset the SkyBell doorbell to factory default

The SkyBell doorbell camera has a pushbutton that allows you to reset the device.

Usually, the doorbell shows an initial red/green flashing light before the reset process and after you finish it. See the details below:

Follow the steps to reset the doorbell.

Press and hold the push button;

Keep the button pressed for 45 to 60 seconds;

Wait until you see a rapid yellow flashing light;

Release the button;

Wait until you see the red/green flashing light.

After seeing the rapid yellow flashing light, it may take one minute or two to get the camera back to the red/green flashing light state. Please be patient.

Now your SkyBell doorbell camera is ready for re-syncing.

Use your App and follow the instruction on how to add the SkyBell to Alarm.com

And that's it.

You just reset your camera and have it back working.
